ATHENS, Ohio -- After a jam-packed weekend for the Bobcats, Ohio is back in action this weekend and gearing up for the home stretch of the fall sports. Check out what's ahead for Ohio Athletics in this week's Paw Prints. 

FOOTBALL

The Ohio football team (4-3, 2-1 MAC) returns to Athens on Saturday, Oct. 22 when they host Northern Illinois (2-5, 1-2 MAC). Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. at Frank Solich Field at Peden Stadium and can be seen on ESPN+. Prior to the start of the game, the Bobcats will honor its seniors in a pregame Senior Day ceremony. Then at halftime, the official dedication of Frank Solich Field will take place.  
 
The Bobcats' matchup can also be heard on the Ohio Sports Network from Learfield. Russ Eisenstein returns for his 15th season as the "Voice of the Bobcats" and will be joined by Ohio alum Rob Cornelius, who has been a part of the broadcasts for two decades.

The Ohio volleyball team (11-8, 5-3 MAC) is back in action this week for three MAC battles. Ohio's week begins on Tuesday, Oct. 18 when they head to Kent, Ohio to take on Kent State (12-7, 3-5 MAC). First serve is set for 6 p.m. at the M.A.C. Center. Ohio then heads to Akron, Ohio to take on Akron (5-15, 2-7 MAC), Oct. 21-22. Friday's match is set for 6 p.m. at the JAR, while Saturday is scheduled to start at 4 p.m. 

SOCCER

The Ohio soccer team (7-6-2, 3-4-1 MAC) returns to action this weekend for two more MAC contests. Ohio begins the week on the road at Toledo (2-7-6, 1-3-4 MAC) Thursday, Oct. 20. First touch is set for 6 p.m. at Paul Hotmer Field. Ohio is back in Athens on Sunday, Oct. 23 for their final home game of the regular season when they play host to host Western Michigan (3-7-5, 3-3-2 MAC). First touch is set for 1 p.m. at Chessa Field. 

Prior to the start of the game, the Ohio soccer program will honor its seniors in a pregame ceremony.

The Ohio field hockey team (7-7, 2-3 MAC) hits the road for its final road trip of the regular season this week. Ohio opens the weekend on Friday, Oct. 21 when they head to Louisville, Ky. to take on Bellarmine in a MAC contest. First touch is set for 1 p.m. at Owsley B. Frazier Stadium. Ohio then wraps up the weekend when they head to Bloomington, Ind. to take on Indiana (8-8). First touch is set for Noon at Deborah Tobias Field.

The Bobcats are coming off a 2-0 weekend where they recorded two shutouts. 

SOFTBALL
Oct. 19  / vs Hocking College / Ohio Softball Field / Athens, Ohio / 8 p.m. 

The Ohio softball team officially wraps up its fall slate on Wednesday, Oct. 19 when they host Hocking College. First pitch is set for 8 p.m. at the Ohio Softball Field.
