PAW PRINTS: The Week Ahead in Ohio Athletics

ATHENS, Ohio --
Volleyball begins postseason play, football aims to continue their win streak, and both basketball teams take the court again. Read about that, and much more, in this week's edition of Paw Prints.

FOOTBALL
November 16 / vs. Toledo / Athens, Ohio / Peden Stadium / 7 p.m. ET / ESPN+

The Bobcats return to Peden Stadium for another rendition of MACtion, coming off two straight victories in November. Ohio welcomes Toledo into Athens on Tuesday night, for the Bobcats' Senior Night. This is the 53rd all-time meeting between the Bobcats and Toledo, with Ohio behind in the all-time series, 21-31-1. Ohio and Toledo last met Nov. 8, 2017, as the Bobcats pulled out a 38-10 victory at home.  

VOLLEYBALL
November 17 / at Kent State / Kent, Ohio / 6 p.m. 
November 21-24 / MAC Tournament / Muncie, Ind.

Ohio's volleyball team wraps up their regular season on the road against Kent State after a split of two matches against Bowling Green last weekend. The Bobcats will then travel to participate in the MAC Tournament, with the quarterfinal set to be played on Sunday, Nov. 21. Match times are 4:30 and 7 p.m.

MEN'S BASKETBALL
November 19 / at Kentucky / Lexington, Ky. / Rupp Arena / 7 p.m. / SEC Network

Having started 3-0, the men's team will now ramp up the level of competition as the Bobcats travel to Rupp Arena to take on the No. 13 Kentucky Wildcats. This will be the 16th overall meeting between the two teams, and the first since the 2005-06 season. 

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
November 20 / vs. Mercyhurst / Athens, Ohio / Convocation Center / 1 p.m. / ESPN+/3

Coming off their first win of the season on the road against Cincinnati, the women's basketball team will host Mercyhurst for their home opener. This will be the first meeting between the two teams. 

WRESTLING
November 20 / Navy Classic / Annapolis, Md. 

The Ohio wrestling team will travel to participate in the Navy Classic this weekend, following the Ohio Intercollegiate Open last Sunday, Nov. 14. The Bobcats had two wrestlers win their weigth class in that Open. 

SWIMMING AND DIVING
November 18-20 / Magnus Cup / Cleveland, Ohio 

Ohio's swimming and diving team will also be on the road this weekend, as they travel to Cleveland, Ohio to compete in the Magnus Cup hosted by Cleveland State. The Bobcats are 1-2 so far this season, with their win coming against Ball State, 153-147, at the end of October.
