The Short Story: Redshirt senior forward Treg Setty (Maysville, Ky.) led the Ohio men's basketball team (22-11) past Albany (24-9), 94-90, in overtime on Wednesday (March 16) in a 2016 College Basketball Invitational First Round game at the Convocation Center in Athens, Ohio. Setty recorded a career-high with 30 rebounds while also recording 10 rebounds to achieve his fourth double-double of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Bobcats shot 44.9 percent (31-of-69) from the field while going 11-of-27 (40.7 percent) from behind the arc. Ohio held Albany to 45.0 percent (36-of-80) from the field -- including 30.8 percent (8-of-26) from three-point range. The Great Danes edged the Bobcats in the statistical battle with advantages in rebounds (48-38), offensive rebounds (11-4), second chance points (17-6), bench points (28-12), and points in the paint (48-34).
• Setty went 11-of-19 from the field -- including 4-of-6 from beyond the arc -- in addition to going 4-of-6 from the charity stripe. His 11 made field goals represented a new career high. He also posted three assists and four steals in 38 minutes.
• Redshirt sophomore guard Jaaron Simmons (Dayton, Ohio) recorded 15 points off of 4-of-13 shooting from the field while converting on all seven of his attempts from the free throw line. He notched a game-high 10 assists to record his seventh double-double of the season. He also grabbed a steal in 39 minutes.
• Redshirt junior forward Kenny Kaminski (Medina, Ohio) added 14 points on 4-of-9 shooting -- including 2-of-4 from behind the arc. He also converted on 4-of-4 free throw attempts. He grabbed four rebounds and tallied an assist in 35 minutes.
• Freshman guard Jordan Dartis (Newark, Ohio) recorded 12 points off of 4-of-7 shooting from the field â€" including 2-of-5 from three-point land. He notched three rebounds, an assist and a steal in 39 minutes.
• Junior forward Antonio Campbell (Cincinnati, Ohio) finished with 11 points courtesy of a 4-of-13 effort from the field. He also tallied a game-high three blocks, eight rebounds and an assist in 37 minutes.
• The Great Danes were led by a 19-point performance by senior guard Evan Singletary. Singletary shot 6-of-13 from the field -- including 2-for-7 from beyond the arc -- while grabbing six boards and an assist in 41 minutes.
• Junior forward Mike Rowley netted 16 points for Albany, going 8-of-12 from the field. He also snatched a team-high nine rebounds and handed out a team-high four assists in 35 minutes.
• Senior guard Ray Sanders tallied 15 points to go along with five rebounds and an assist in 35 minutes for Albany.
• Freshman guard Joe Cremo contributed 11 points, five rebounds, an assist and a steal in 19 minutes off of the bench for the Great Danes.
• Following a 6-0 start by Albany, the Bobcats got it to Setty on the right wing as he drove baseline before stopping in the paint, spinning off of his defender and hitting a turnaround jumper from five feet for the first Ohio points of the game.
• Once the first basket went in, Ohio's postseason nerves calmed as it scored on three of its next four possessions including a Kaminski three pointer from the left corner to give the Bobcats their first lead of the game with 14:19 left in the first half.
• The Bobcats remained hot from the field while shutting down the Great Danes on the other end. After finding twine for the first time with 16:40 left in the first half, Ohio would go on a 16-2 run over the next 6:31 minutes building a 16-8 lead with 10:55 to go in the half.
• The pace of the game slowed and Albany worked its way back into it as they tied the game at 25-all with 1:44 left in the first half.
• With five seconds remaining in the half, Campbell knocked down a pair of free throws to give the Bobcats a 30-28 advantage heading into the locker room.
• The Bobcats came out shooting to start the second half as they quickly pushed their lead to 38-30 with 17:27 to go in the second half as Setty booked a right corner three while Campbell hit one from straight away.
• The hot shooting continued on the south end basket as the Bobcats converted on eight of their first 12 attempts to open the second half. The quick start gave Ohio a 50-42 lead with 13:29 to go in the game.
• The Great Danes refused to go away as they used a 9-0 run to grab their first lead of the second half at 53-50 with 10:54 remaining in the game.
• Dartis would not let Albany have the momentum for long as he scored seven consecutive points for Ohio to put the Bobcats back in the lead at 60-57 with 8:27 to go in the second half.
• The lead continued to change hands as the Great Danes held a one possession lead for a few minutes before a Simmons layup and one gave the Bobcats 67-64 lead with 4:10 left in the game.
• With the game tied yet again at 69-all with 2:09 left on the clock, Campbell cleaned up a Setty miss, laying it up with the right hand giving Ohio a 71-69 lead. With the make, Campbell became the 37th Bobcat and first since Ivo Baltic in 2013 to eclipse the 1,000 career point mark.
• With 5.5 second remaining, Simmons converted on a pair of free throws to give Ohio a 77-74. After advancing the ball to midcourt, the Great Danes got the ball to Singletary who banked home a left wing three over Kaminski as time expired.
• The Great Danes carried the momentum into overtime as they nailed a three to give them an early 80-77 lead with 4:32 left in overtime.
• Setty refused to let this be his last game as he knocked down a three of his own to tie the game up at 80 all with 3:39 to play in the extra frame.
• Again the Great Danes would not go away as a Rowley layup put Albany back in front 86-84 with 1:56 left in overtime. Setty once again came through in the clutch, hitting a left corner three with a hand in his face to give the Bobcats the lead for good at 87-86 with 1:34 remaining in the contest.
• After a Setty rebound at the other end, he took it the length of the court, eurostepping past his defender and hit the finger roll which pushed the lead to 89-86 Ohio with 1:01 to go in the game.
• After Albany cut the Ohio lead to 92-90 with nine seconds on the clock, the Bobcats inbounded the ball to Setty who capped off the 94-90 victory at the free throw stipe knocking down a pair.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE
• Ohio, making its 22nd postseason appearance in proram history, is now 16-22 (.421) all-time in national postseason play. The Bobcats are 2-2 (.500) all-time in CBI play. Ohio earned its first national postseason victory since knocking off Wright State, 58-54, on March 22, 2014, at the Convocation Center in a CollegeInsider.com Tournament Second Round matchup.
• Ohio improved to 14-2 (.875) at home this season -- marking the first time since 2012-13 the Bobcats have earned 14 wins in 16 tries at the Convo.
• The Bobcats have posted back-to-back home overtime wins for the first time since 2003-04 when Ohio defeated Miami, 67-64, on Feb. 2, 2004, then knocked off Ball State five days later, 88-84. Ohio closed the 2015-16 regular season with a 103-96 overtime triumph over Buffalo at the Convo.
• Ohio has surpassed the 90-point mark five times this year. The Bobcats have eclipsed the 80-point mark 16 times in their first 33 games in 2015-16. Ohio reached the 80-point mark just five times in 30 games last season.
• Setty notched his seventh-straight double-digit scoring effort, 21st of the year and 23rd of his career. He recorded double-digit boards for the fourth time this season and sixth time in his career. He led the lead in scoring for the second time this year and in rebounding for the fourth time this season.
• Simmons finished with a double-double for the seventh time this year. He has logged double-digit points 24 times and double-digit assists six times this season. He finished with at least five assists in a game for the 30th time this year and led the team in assists for the 31st time. Simmons has now dished out 260 assists in 2015-16 -- the second-most in a single season in both program and Mid-American Conference history. He needs 14 more assists to break Cooper’s program and conference record of 263 helpers set in 2010-11. He joins Cooper as the only Ohio players to ever log at least 200 assists in a single season in school history.
• Kaminski achieved double figures in scoring for the third-straight game and 18th time this year.
• Dartis finished in double figures in scoring for the third game in a row and 14th time this season.
• Campbell finished in double figures in scoring for the fourth game in a row, team-high 28th time this year and 48th time in his career. He has now scored 1,003 points in his career.

UP NEXT
The Bobcats advance to the quarterfinals of the CBI where they will face UNC-Greensboro (15-18) on Monday (March 20) at the Convocation Center. UNC Greensboro topped Houston Baptist, 69-65, on Wednesday behind a 17-point performance from freshman guard Francis Alonso. The winner of Monday's contest will advance to the CBI Semifinals next Wednesday (March 23).
