QUOTABLE
Second-Year Head Coach Saul Phillips
• "It's a 40 minute game for a reason. We had our chances to blow it open, and we missed our shots. But, we stayed resilient. I've been on both sides of things like that, and as that scoreboard refuses to separate, it's easy to hit the panic button and start to try and do things you can't do. What we didn't do is panic on the defensive end."
Redshirt Senior Forward Treg Setty
• "We knew as a team the expectation coming in was for us to beat a team by 25, 30 points. But, a lot of times when you play teams that play one Division I team all year, this is kind of their Super Bowl. You've got guys who give it every single thing they have, and that's kudos to them for doing so. But, we finally got into a little rhythm and coach preached to us all preseason that we're going to be a streaky team. We're going to go on big streaks where we hit a lot of shots, and we're going to go on bad streaks where we don't hit a lot of shots. But, the main thing is just staying consistent."
Redshirt Junior Forward Kenny Kaminski
• "First game nerves played a little factor. We did get a lot of shots we wanted, and that's great. I'm not worried about offense at all. We're not worried as a team. We got all the shots we wanted, and we got those first-game nerves out."
