GAME NOTES
- Head coach Frank Solich Earned his 80th career win.
- Ohio improved to 10-11 all-time against NIU.
- Ohio won its first game over NIU since 2009 and first game at NIU since 2006.
- Ohio improved to 8-4 on the season and 5-3 in MAC play its most wins since 2012 and most MAC wins since 2011.
- Ohio had a season-low two penalties for 20 yards.
- Leading into the game, NIU was a 22-0 winning streak in the month of November, their last loss was 2009.
- Ohio is 3-1 in November this season and 67-7 when leading a the half, under Solich.
OFFENSE
- Sophomore RB A.J. Ouellette rushed for 140 yards, a season-high. He was also the only running back used in the game, which was a first for Ohio this season.
- RS junior quarterback Greg Windham went 8-17 for 76 yards passing and had a career-long throw of 32 yards. He also had 43 rushing yards on 11 attempts.
- RS junior wide receiver Jordan Reid had a game-high 66 receiving yards and caught a touchdown pass.
- RS sophomore wide receiver Brendan Cope caught a game-long 32 yard pass from Windham.
DEFENSE
- Ohio had four sacks and 11 tackles for loss.
- Ohio held NIU, one of the top rushing teams in the league to a season-low 73 rushing yards.
- Sophomore linebacker Chad Moore led the Bobcats with nine solo tackles. Moore also had a tackle for 12-yards lost and had three sacks.
- Ohio had two forced fumbles in the game.
- Ohio had four quarterback hurries and three pass breakups.
SPECIAL TEAMS
- RS senior placekicker Josiah Yazdani was 4/5 on field goals with one blocked, which Ohio advanced for a first down. He was also 2/2 on PAT
- RS senior punter Mitch Bonnstetter had six punts for 231 yards including a long of 50 and pinned three inside the 20-yardline.
- Freshman long snapper Jake Hale recovered a fumble on a muffed punt.
