How It Happened
• Ndour recorded his sixth career double-double, 10th career 20-point outing and eighth career contest with double-digit boards. He also posted three assists, two steals and a block in 35 minutes. The 2014 Preseason All-Mid-American Conference East Division pick went a perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line as the Bobcats shot 77.8% (21-of-27) as a team from the charity stripe.
• Redshirt senior guard Javarez Willis (Homer, La.) hit double digits in scoring for a second straight game, totaling 16 points off of 6-of-9 shooting -- including 4-of-7 from three-point land. He also contributed five rebounds and a team-high four assists as well as adding two steals in 34 minutes. Willis achieved double figures for the 12th time in his career.
• Freshman guard Mike Laster (Detroit, Mich.) enjoyed his best showing to date, scoring 10 points in 29 minutes off of the bench. He went 6-for-6 from the line and piled up four rebounds and an assist.
• Sophomore forward Antonio Campbell (Cincinnati, Ohio) had another steady outing off of the bench, scoring nine points and collecting seven boards and a block in 17 minutes.
• Senior guard Stevie Taylor (Gahanna, Ohio) swiped a team-high three steals and posted his first career block.
• Two players achieved double figures for Arkansas-Pine Bluff, with senior guard Marcel Mosley leading the way with 20 points. He matched junior guard/forward JoVaughn Love for the team lead with a team-high five rebounds and added three assists. Sophomore guard Ghiavonni Robinson contributed 15 points, posted a team-high three steals and tallied a block. Senior guard Tevin Hammond handed out a game-high six assists.
• Redshirt freshman guard Khari Harley (Egg Harbor Township, N.J.) sunk two free throws for his first career points with just over a minute and a half remaining in the first half to help the Bobcats take a 30-28 edge into the break.
• Willis came out of halftime hot, knocking down a jumper for the first points of the second half less than a minute in, but the Golden Lions countered with a 9-0 run to take a five-point advantage at 37-32 with just over 17 minutes to play.
• A third trey by Willis and two Laster free throws helped tie the contest up at 37-all a minute later. Arkansas-Pine Bluff went back up by four at 45-41 less than two minutes later by way of a triple from Mosley, but a three by Willis sandwiched between layups by Ndour and redshirt sophomore forward Treg Setty (Maysville, Ky.) put the 'Cats back in front by three, 48-45, with just over 11 minutes to play.
• The Golden Lions managed to even the score three more times over the ensuing six-plus minutes, but Ohio closed the win out with a 15-6 run over the final five minutes. The stretch was highlighted by a big conventional three-point play by Ndour, who drew contact from Arkansas-Pine Bluff junior center Chauncy Parker going up for a layup and tacked on the freebie to make it 63-57 in favor of the Bobcats with less than a minute and a half to play. Ndour sunk all three of his free throw attempts over the final five minutes while Laster, Setty and freshman guard Ryan Taylor (Gary, Ind.) each sunk two free throws during that span.
