MOUNT PLEASANT, MI. â€" The Ohio football team fell to Central Michigan 28-10 Saturday afternoon at Kelly/Shorts Stadium in a Mid-American Conference matchup.
Central Michigan (3-3, 1-1 MAC) took an early 7-0 lead, scoring on its first drive of the game when Cooper Rush completed a four-yard pass to Titus Davis. Rush connected with Davis again for a 32-yard touchdown pass on their next drive to take a 14-0 lead in the first quarter.
The Bobcats got on the board at the end of the first half, when Josiah Yazdani connected on a 24-yard field goal to make the score 14-3.
Ohio scored early in the fourth quarter. During the drive, quarterback JD Sprague connected with Chase Cochran on a 46-yard reception. The next play, Sprague rushed 24 yards, setting up a Tim Edmond one-yard touchdown run, making the score 21-10.
Central Michigan would score one more time in the fourth quarter to seal 28-10 win.
Offensively, Daz Patterson led the Bobcats on the ground with 77 yards on 12 carries. In the air, Cochran led Ohio with two receptions for 59 yards.
Sprague finished the game 7-for-21 with 98 yards.

Patterson’s 49-yard run in the third quarter marked his longest rush of the season.
