A two-time graduate of Ohio University, Ryan McFann serves as the Director of Equipment for the Convocation Center. A veteran of his profession, McFann is in charge of ordering, maintaining, and repairing equipment for nine of Ohio's 16 NCAA Division I sports, in addition to a host of other tasks. McFann has been serving in his current role since July 2008.
In addition to his current duties for Ohio, McFann serves as the Director of Ticket Sales for the Ohio High School Athletic Association's boys' and girls' tournaments every March in Athens.
Prior to becoming the Convo's Director of Equipment, McFann served as the interim director (2007-08) and assistant director (2004-07) of the same office. He was also an interim assistant director (2003-04) and a graduate assistant (2003) at Ohio.
From July through August of 2002, McFann worked in professional sports as an intern equipment manager for the Cleveland Browns. In Berea, Ohio, Ryan issued and maintained equipment for more than 70 professional athletes.
McFann began his work experience as a student manager with the Ohio University football program, serving in this volunteer capacity from September 2000 to January 2003. He graduated from Ohio with a Bachelor of Sport Sciences degree in 2002 and earned his Masters of Coaching Education in 2003.
McFann is a current certified member of the Athletic Equipment Managers Association.
