Matt Gilmore joined Ohio's NCAA Eligibility & Student-Athlete Success staff as a coordinator In January of 2014. In this role, Gilmore works with the baseball, men’s and women’s golf, women’s swimming and diving, men's and women's cross country, and women's track & field teams.
Prior to arriving in Athens, Gilmore served as a graduate assistant at Concord University where he helped develop the Athletic Graduation Retention Improvement Program (GRIP). Gilmore spent the previous four years as an assistant baseball coach at his alma mater, Muskingum University, from 2008-2012. In addition to his coaching duties, he served as a learning consultant with Muskingum University's PLUS Program.
The Cambridge, Ohio native graduated from Muskingum University in 2008 with a degree in History and received his teaching license in adolescence to young adult integrated social studies. In 2014, he earned a master's degree in Health Promotion from Concord University, and completed his master's degree in Sports Administration at Ohio University in 2017.
