Week's Achievements: Sophomore pitcher Madi McCrady (Brimfield, Ohio) helped the Ohio softball team (31-19, 12-8 MAC) earn a sweep at Buffalo in its final regular season series of the 2019 season and clinch the No. 3 seed in the upcoming Mid-American Conference Championship, going 2-0 with a 0.50 ERA and 11 strikeouts while permitting just one earned run on six hits and six walks. McCrady twirled a shutout in the series opener, striking out five while allowing just three hits and three walks over seven innings as the Bobcats bested the Bulls, 2-0, on Friday (May 3). On Saturday (May 4) in Ohio’s 3-1 win in the first game of a doubleheader, McCrady fanned six while giving up one earned run on three hits and three walks over seven frames. She improved to 20-11 on the year with her second victory of the weekend.
