Terre Haute, Ind.-- The Ohio men's and women's cross country teams return home after competing in the NCAA Regional Meet.
The Bobcat women finished twenty fourth as a team in the 6K with a final score of 652 points. The fastest time was clocked in by senior Alyssa Atkinson (Granville, Ohio) with a time of 21:52.2 placing 56th overall. The next Bobcat to cross the line was junior Abby Miller (Mansfield, Ohio) 22.43. The remaining Bobcats sophomore Hailey Bowes (Arlington Heights, Ill) 23:02, freshman Madelyn Bartolone (Massillon, Ohio) 23:35, junior Melissa Koziol (Burton, Ohio) with a time of 23:38, junior Tiffany Hill (Dublin, Oho) 23:42, and senior Emily Deering(Geneva, Ohio) 23:50.
The Bobcat men finished twenty fourth as a team in the 10K race with a final score of 598 points. The men were led by red shirt sophomore Griffin Butler (Newark, Ohio) with a time of 32:30. The next Bobcat to cross the line was redshirt sophomore Dan Seas (Coldwater, Ohio) with a time of 32:58. The remaining Bobcats: senior Zach Zimmerman (Pickerington, Ohio) 33:45, sophomore John Jaynes (Canal Winchester, Ohio) 33:59, senior Josh Park (Amherst, Ohio) 34:02, junior Nate Mallue (Massillon, Ohio) 34:40, and freshman Czar Tarr (Pittsburgh, Pa.) 34:46.
