ATHENS, Ohio – The Ohio Volleyball team will host a silent auction beginning Feb. 1 and ending Feb. 28 to raise money for Ohio's European trip.
"The trip to Europe will be a once in a lifetime opportunity for many of our players," head coach Deane Webb said. "In addition to the volleyball benefits of extra training and competition that will kickstart our 2019 season, the cultural awareness a trip like this provides is truly priceless. This auction will help raise funds to make this trip a possibility for all of our players. We appreciate the continued support!"
Ohio is travelling to Europe on a 10 day trip in June to compete against international opponents and experience other cultures. Ohio will visit Italy, Austria, Slovenia and Czech Republic during the international visit.
All proceeds of the silent auction will go towards funding for the student-athletes trip.
To bid on an item, head to the Ohio University Volleyball Silent Auction Page, which is linked here, and place a comment on the picture of the item with a bid. Each bid must be at least $5 higher than the previous bid. Once the silent auction concludes on Feb. 28, the Ohio coaching staff will reach out to receive payment and give further instruction.
