ATHENS, Ohio -- The Ohio volleyball team fell to No. 20-ranked Pittsburgh, 3-0 (25-22, 25-14, 25-23), today in an exhibition match at the Convocation Center.
The match served as an opportunity for the Bobcats to compete against a tough opponent before the 2018 regular season begins next weekend.
Following the match, Ohio hosted a cookout for its fans, giving followers of the Bobcats an opportunity to meet the team.
With preseason coming to a close, the real season begins for Ohio next weekend in Columbus. The Bobcats will make the drive up U.S. Route 33 to compete in the Sports Imports Classic hosted by in-state rival Ohio State next weekend (Aug. 24-25) to open the regular season. Ohio matches up with Texas A&M next Friday (Aug. 24) at 4 p.m., then takes on the host Buckeyes at 12:30 p.m. and Albany at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday (Aug. 25).
