ATHENS, Ohio – The Ohio track and field team will hit the road for their fifth weekend meet of the 2019 indoor season. The Bobcats will take on the Akron Invitational in Akron, Ohio and the Meyo Invitational hosted by Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind. Competition for both meets is set to begin on Friday, February 1 and conclude the 2nd. The Akron Invitational will start field events at 4:00 p.m. following with the running events starting at 8:00 p.m. The Meyo Invitational will begin with field events starting at 4:00 p.m. with the running events starting shortly after at 4:30 p.m. The rest of both meets will conclude Saturday, February 2 with running events beginning at 10:00 a.m. and field events beginning at 11:00 a.m. at for the Akron Invitational, and the Meyo Invitational will start with running events at 9:45 a.m. and field events are set to begin at 10:30 a.m.

At the Akron Invitational, the Bobcats will be facing off against the following schools: Akron, Ashland, Buffalo, Cleveland State, Dayton, Findlay, Indiana Tech, Kent State, Malone, Marshall, Mount St. Mary's, Northern Kentucky, Penn, Purdue Fort Wayne, Saint Francis (Pa.), Walsh, West Virginia, and Xavier (Ohio).
The Meyo Invitational will include: Albion, Arkansas-Little Rock, Ball State, Bowling Green, Bradley, Butler, Central Michigan, DePaul, Eastern Illinois, Eastern Michigan, Grand Valley State, Illinois State, Illinois-Chicago, Indiana State, Iowa, IUPUI, Lamar, Lewis, Loyola (Ill.), Marquette, McNeese State, Miami (Ohio), Michigan State, Milwaukee, Northern Illinois, Northern Iowa, Northwestern, Notre Dame, Oakland, Purdue, Saint Louis, SIU Edwardsville, South Dakota State, Toledo, Valparaiso, Western Michigan, and Xavier (Ohio).
After concluding both invitationals this weekend, the Bobcats will return to action Friday Feb. 8 to take on the Kent State Qualifier in Kent, Ohio.
