ATHENS, Ohio – The Ohio track and field team plans to head to the 2018 Raleigh Relays (Mar. 30-31) hosted by N.C. State. Action will begin at 9 a.m. on Friday and at 9:45 on Saturday.

Live results for the weekend in Raleigh will be posted here for both days. The Raleigh Relays will also be broadcasted on the ACC Network Extra for a block of time on both Friday beginning at 6 p.m. and Saturday at 12 p.m.

Ohio travels to Raleigh, N.C. and Cincinnati coming off a weekend in Rock Hill, S.C. where they competed in their first outdoor meet of the season, the 2018 Winthrop Adidas University Invitational. The Bobcats had a successful meet, securing three wins and 21 top-20 finishes throughout the weekend.
The weekend started with the hammer throw where junior Gaza Odunaiya (Athens, Ohio) recorded a throw of 50.90m and a fifth-place finish. Senior Emma Ryan (Vincent, Ohio) placed next for the 'Cats taking seventh place with a throw of 49.32m followed by freshman Abby Moore (Rootstown, Ohio) in ninth with a throw of 47.02.
In the shot put, senior Jordan Porter (South Point, Ohio) placed third overall with a throw of 14.27m just ahead of Moore in fifth with a throw of 13.55m.
In the triple jump, sophomore Keilah Causey (Gahanna, Ohio) placed ninth overall with a jump reaching 10.71m.
In the javelin, Ryan secured a win for the 'Cats with a 42.43m throw and a first-place finish just ahead of sophomore Tajah Haley (Washington, Pa.) placing fourth with a throw of 38.63m. Ryan then went on to place fifth in the discus with a throw reaching 43.34m.
In the 100m hurdles, senior Mya Hodge (Dublin, Ohio) placed first for Ohio and 10th overall with a time of 14.96.
Ohio added two more top-10 finishes in the 400m dash with junior Emily Deering (Geneva, Ohio) recording a time of 58.72 to place sixth and sophomore Marissa Handel (Highland Heights, Ohio) recording a time of 59.06 to place ninth.
In the women's 1500m, junior Josie Woosley (Pataskala, Ohio) placed fifth with a final time of 4:46.05.
Deering recorded a time of 58.62 in the 400m to place third overall.
