Ohio Track and Field To Compete at Marshall and Kent State

ATHENS, Ohio – The Ohio track and field team prepares for another busy weekend as the team plans to split up between the Chipotle Marshall Invitational (Feb. 9-10) and the Kent State Qualifier (Feb. 10).

CHIPOTLE MARSHALL INVITATIONAL
The Bobcats travel to Huntington, W. Va. for the third and final time of the indoor season to compete against 12 other schools including Marshall, Wright State, Fort Wayne, West Virginia, UNC Ashville, Northern Kentucky, Morehead State, Winthrop, Belmont, SIU-Edwardsville, and Eastern Kentucky.

KENT STATE QUALIFIER
The Bobcats will also travel to compete against Mid-American Conference foe, Kent State on Saturday with field events beginning at 12 p.m. and running events at 1 p.m.

SCOUTING OHIO
Ohio will compete coming off a busy weekend with athletes competing at both the Marietta Alumni Open (Feb. 2) and the Meyo Invitational (Feb. 2-3).

At the Marietta Alumni Open, the Bobcats recorded wins in the following events.
400m dash: Marissa Handel – 1:00.44
500m dash: Kaitlyn Logan – 1:21.19
800m run: Josie Woosley  - 2:25.56
Mile: Alyssa Atkinson – 5:15.88
55m hurdles: Mya Hodge – 8.53 (preliminary round)
4 x 200m relay: Olivia Brewer, Mya Hodge, Callyn Voase, Thelma Agyekum – 1:52.42
4 x 400m relay: Marissa Handel, Kaitlyn Logan, Keilah Causey, Melissa Barrett – 4:13.29
High Jump: Tana Barrett – 1.62m
Shot put: Jordan Porter – 15.10m
Weight Throw: Gaza Odunaiya – 17.41m
