ATHENS, Ohio – The Ohio track and field has made some adjustments to their schedule for the meets this weekend (Feb. 2-3). Instead of traveling to compete at the Akron Invitational, the Bobcats will head to Marietta to participate in the Marietta Alumni Open on Friday (Feb. 2).
A select few will still be traveling to compete in Notre Dame's Meyo Invitational mid-distance and distance events including junior Alyssa Atkinson (Granville, Ohio) competing in the 5K, junior Emily Deering (Geneva, Ohio), senior Ellen Isaac (Mansfield, Ohio) competing in the 5K, and sophomore Abby Miller (Mansfield, Ohio) competing in the 3K and the 5K.
The 5K will take place Friday (Feb. 2) starting at approximately 5:45 p.m. and the 3K and 800m both on Saturday (Feb. 3) starting at 10:15 a.m. and 12:45 p.m., respectively.
A portion of Saturday's events (2-4 p.m.) will be broadcasted on the ACC Network Extra, which can be accessed via watchespn.com.

MARIETTA ALUMNI OPEN
The rest of the Bobcats will be traveling to Marietta to compete against Alderson Broaddus, Charleston (W. Va.), Concord, Davis & Elkins, Glenville State, Ohio Valley, Salem International, West Liberty, Westminster (Pa.), and West Virginia Tech.
The action will begin with field events at 3 p.m. and track events at 4 on a rolling schedule.
The Bobcats head out of Athens after competing at the Thundering Herd Invitational where the Bobcats totaled two wins and nine top-10 finishes throughout the weekend.
Ohio secured the top-two places in the weight throw with freshman Abby Moore (Rootstown, Ohio) throwing a 16.47 (54' 0.5") and senior Cassidy Cleland (Reedsville, Ohio) throwing a 15.33m (50' 3.5").
Day two started with the high jump where Ohio recorded two top-five finishes with sophomore Atiya Spaulding (Chesapeake, Ohio) placing third with a jump of 1.59m (5' 2.50") and sophomore Tana Barrett (Newark, Ohio) placing fourth with a jump of 1.59m (5' 2.50").
In shot put, senior Jordan Porter (South Point, Ohio) added a win for Ohio with a throw reaching 14.74m (48' 4.50")
In the preliminary round of the 60m hurdles, senior Mya Hodge (Dublin, Ohio) placed ninth with a time of 9.29.
Ohio senior Ellen Isaac (Mansfield, Ohio) and sophomore Abby Miller (Mansfield, Ohio) placed in the top-10 in the mile with Isaac securing eighth with a 5:09.17 time and Miller securing 10th with a 5:11.31 time.
Freshman Melissa Barrett (Newark, Ohio) recorded a time of 2:19.38 in the 800m to place eighth overall.
