2016-17 Season
Outdoor: Posted a season-best at the Bill Webb & Bob Davidson Spring Kick-Off in the 1500m with a time of 4:40.66 to place fifth… Recorded her first of seven wins in the outdoor season at the Raleigh Relays in the 4x400 with a time of 3:53.20… Added two wins at the Ohio Cherry Blossom Invitational in the 4x400 (4:05.89) and in the 1500m (4:41.18)… Posted a season-best at the Akron-Campbell Wright Open in the 400m where she ran a 58.98 in the 400m… Finished the season at the MAC Championships where her team won the 4x400 in 3:53.14, a season-best, she also placed eighth in the 800m with a personal-best time of 2:12.30… Named to the Academic All-MAC Outdoor Track Team.
Indoor: Opened the indoor season at the Marshall Opener competing in the 200m where she placed sixth with a time of 27.65 (season-best) and in the 400m where she placed fifth with a time of 1:00.00… Placed fourth in the 4x400 with a time of 3:59.49 and first in the 800m with a time of 2:17.55 at the Kent State Doug Raymond Invitational… Posted a season-best in the 600m at the Ohio State College/University Tune-Up with a time of 1:35.01 to take second place… Ended the season at the MAC Championships competing in the 4x400 where her team placed 11th with a time of 4:05.00 and 10th in the 800 where she recorded a time of 2:13.61… Named to the Academic All-MAC Indoor Track Team.

2015-2016 Season
Outdoor: Kicked off the outdoor season at the Wake Forest Open placing second in the 1500m with a 4:44.77 finish… Recorded a personal best in the 1500m at the 2016 Winthrop University Invitational with a 4:44.25 time to take sixth… Finished second in the Ohio Cherry Blossom Invitational in the 400M with a time of 1:00.35, season-best… Competed in the Jesse Owens T&F Classic at the Ohio State University where she placed 22nd in the 800M with a personal best time of 2:14.11.
Indoor: Started her collegiate indoor track career at the Kent State Doug Raymond Invite where she placed fourth in the 800M with a 2:15.25 mark… Went on to win the 4x400 (3:58.28) and the 400M (58.97) at the SPIRE North Coast Indoor T&F Open… Placed third in the 800M at the Ohio State University Invitational with a 2:17.37 mark… Ended the indoor season at the MAC Championships where she placed ninth in the Distance Medley Relay with an 11:56.61 time and 11th in the 4x400 with a 3:51.22 time.

Prior to Ohio: Lettered in volleyball (1), basketball (1), track (4) and cross country (3) at Geneva High School… Ran under coaches Bobby McQuoid and Dave Yost… Deering was named cross country MVP 2013-2015, track MVP 2015, Academic All-Ohio and captain of the cross country team 2013-2015 and track team 2015… Broke the school and county record for the 4x800 in 2015… Graduated in the top 10 percent of her class and in the 4.0 club and as named the Community Service Youth Ambassador and Class President.

Personal: Daughter of Matt and Lisa Deering and has one brother, Collin… Father, Matt, wrestled for Kent State University… Lists favorite teams as the Cleveland Cavs, Indians and Browns and favorite athlete as Rhonda Rousey… Hobbies include exploring, traveling, running and swimming… Majoring in Business Law and Finance and plans to attend law school to study corporate law.
