ATHENS, Ohio – Two home meets against Miami and Youngstown State highlight the Ohio swimming and diving team's 2018-19 schedule, first-year head coach Mason Norman announced today.
The Bobcats will host an inner squad meet to begin the 2018-19 season with a Green Vs. White Exhibition meet on Friday, Sept. 28 at 3 p.m. EST.
The Bobcats open the regular season competing at the Ohio University Aquatic Center against Mid-American Conference rival Miami on Saturday, Oct. 6 at 11 a.m. The following weekend, Saturday, Oct. 19, Ohio will travel to Huntington, W. Va., to take on Marshall at 5 p.m. Ohio will hit the road again for its next MAC matchup against Eastern Michigan on Saturday, Nov. 3. Ohio's final event of 2018 will take place in Columbus, Ohio where the Bobcats will compete in the OSU Invite from Nov. 14-17.
The Bobcat swimmers and divers will open up action in 2019 on the road against Toledo on Friday, Jan. 18 followed by a quick turnaround road trip to Pittsburgh, Pa., at Duquesne on Saturday, Jan.19 for a matchup against Xavier. The Bobcats return to the Ohio University Aquatic Center for the second time in the 2018-19 season on Saturday, Jan. 26th against Youngstown State.
Ohio jumps back into conference action with its final away meet of the regular season at Akron, on Friday, Feb. 1. Ohio returns to Akron for the 2018-19 MAC Championships starting Wednesday, Feb. 26 and ending on Saturday, March 2. On Sunday, March 3, the Bobcats will be finishing out the weekend in Columbus, Ohio where they will compete in the Ohio State Last Chance Meet.
NCAA Diving Zones will take place March 14-16 in West Lafayette, Ind. The NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championships will take place the following weekend, March 20-23, and will be held in Austin, Texas.
