DADE CITY, Fla. – The Ohio women's golf team wrapped up the final day of the 2018 Spring Break Shootout hosted by FGCU and Western Kentucky at the Lake Jovita Golf Course. The Bobcats finished the second day of competition in 12th place after shooting a final round score of 308, giving Ohio a three-round total of 945 (+81).
WKU leads the pack after the final day with a three-round total of 880 (+16).
Junior Emily Hughes (Columbus, Ohio) led Ohio and finished the weekend tied for 18th place. Hughes wrapped up her final round with a score of 80. Overall, Hughes finished Tuesday with a three-round score of 230 (+14).
Sophomore Marissa Balish (Allison Park, Pa.) finished Sunday with a third-round score of 80, giving her a three-round total of 236 (+20) and placing her at 44th. Senior Lily Pendy (Grosse Point Farms, Mich.) wrapped up the tournament tied for 54th place after posting a score of 82 on Sunday. Pendy finished the competition with a three-day total of 240 (+24).
Junior Nicole Smiley (Dublin, Ohio) concluded Sunday with a score of 81, giving her a tournament total of 242 (+26) and tied for 61st place. Junior Hannah Travis (Lancaster, Ohio) wrapped up competition tied for 74th place after posting a score of 86, giving her a three-day total of 252 (+36).
Competing unattached for Ohio was freshman Ashley Flynn (Dublin, Ohio), who posted a score of 86 on Sunday, giving her a three-day total of 256 (+40) and placing her tied for 78th.
Up next for Ohio, the Bobcats will head to Richmond, Ky. for the 2018 Lady Colonel Classic, hosted by Eastern Kentucky, March 30-31 at the Arlington Golf Course.
