RIO VERDE, Ariz. – The Ohio women's golf team continued its spring season at day one of the 2018 Rio Verde Collegiate Invitational, hosted by Western Michigan. The Bobcats finished the first day in 11th with a team score of 315 (+27).
Little Rock currently sits in first place after finishing the day with a score of 305 (+17).
Leading the Bobcats is freshman Ashley Flynn (Dublin, Ohio) who finished the first day in the top 20 of the tournament tied in 9th place after posting a score of 75 (+3). Next, for Ohio, Lily Pendy (Grosse Pointe Farms, Mich.) currently sits tied for 24th after one round with a score of 77 (+5).
Junior Emily Hughes (Columbus, Ohio) finished day one tied for 47th in the tournament after earning a score of 80 (+8). Teammates junior Nicole Smiley and sophomore Marissa Balish (Allison Park, Pa.) both sit tied at the 63rd spot after one round with a score of 83 (+11).
The three-day tournament will continue Saturday and Sunday on the Quail Run Golf Course.
