ATHENS, Ohio – The Ohio women's golf team wraps up its fall slate at the inaugural Shirley Spork EMU Invitational Oct. 9-10 in Ypsilanti, Mich. at the 6,127-yard Eagle Crest Golf Club. Par is set at 72 with Monday's rounds starting with a 9 a.m. shotgun start. Tuesday's final round will being with a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
This year's event will see 10 teams and 60 student-athletes competing. The 10 teams participating are Bowling Green, Central Michigan, Cleveland State, Eastern Michigan, Marshall, Oakland, Ohio, Dayton, Youngstown State and Western Michigan. Purdue will be represented by an individual participant.
The Bobcats are coming off of a fourth-place finish at the 2017 KZoo Classic hosted by Western Michigan Oct. 2-3. The Bobcats finished the competition with an overall score of 951 (+33). Smiley led the Bobcats, finishing in third place with a three-round total of 225 (+9). Pendy also finished in the top-10, completing the tournament in sixth place after registering a 227 (+11).

After the Shirley Spork EMU Invitational, the Bobcats will have a few months off before returning to action Feb. 5-6 at the 2018 Mid-American Match Play Challenge hosted by Bowling Green at the Lakewood Ranch Country Club in Bradenton, Fla.
