Ohio Men’s Cross Country Returns from Virginia Tech Alumni Invite

BLACKSBURG, Va. – The Ohio men's cross country team placed fifth at the 2017 Virginia Tech Alumni Invitational (Sept. 15) with a total score of 105 and a total time of 2:08.40.

Ohio finished behind host, Virginia Tech (36), Florida State (55), East Tennessee State (96) and Morehead State (96) and ahead of Mid-American Conference foe, Akron (109) as well as VMI (224), Lynchburg (271), Roanoke (278), Bridgewater (Va.) (295), King (336) and Ferrum (390).

Junior Kyle Bussard (Germantown, Ohio) led the Bobcats and placed 17th with a final time of 25:31.8. Senior Matt Evans (Mentor, Ohio) finished shortly after with a time of 25:37.5 followed by freshman Griffin Butler (Newark, Ohio) in 25th at 25:40.2, senior Brad Miller (Bellbrook, Ohio) in 30th at 25:50.8 and sophomore Parker Sistrunk (Belpre, Ohio) in 36th at 25:58.8.
