Play Suspended At 2019 MAC Men's Golf Championships Due To Weather

AURORA, Ohio -- Play has been suspended at the 2019 Mid-American Conference Men's Golf Championships due to weather.

The first and second rounds of the MAC Championships will now get underway on Saturday (April 27) at 8:30 a.m. ET at Club Walden. Final-round action will be held on Sunday (April 28) beginning at 8:30 a.m. ET.

Under the direction of first-year head coach Carter Cheves, senior Ben Sattler (Liberty Township, Ohio), redshirt junior Michael Kenney (Kent, Ohio) and sophomores Zach Crawford (Vandalia, Ohio), Austin Dyson (Dublin, Ohio), Tanner Johnson (Venetia, Pa.) and Zach Mandry (Solon, Ohio) are set to represent Ohio at the 2019 MAC Championships. Sattler will be competing in the conference tournament for the fourth year in a row while Crawford and Dyson will be doing so for the second year in a row. Kenney, Johnson and Mandry will be competing in the MAC Championships for the first time in their careers.

The winner of the 2019 MAC Championships will receive the league's automatic bid to one of six NCAA Regionals, which will be conducted May 13-15. The six regional sites include Palouse Ridge Golf Club in Pullman, Wash., hosted by Washington State University; Stanford Golf Course in Stanford, Calif., hosted by Stanford University; TPC Myrtle Beach in Murrells Inlet, S.C., hosted by Coastal Carolina University and Myrtle Beach Regional Sports Alliance; University of Louisville Golf Club in Simpsonville, Ky., hosted by the University of Louisville; University of Georgia Golf Course in Athens, Ga., hosted by the University of Georgia; and University of Texas Golf Club in Austin, Texas, hosted by the University of Texas.

The 2019 NCAA Championship runs May 24-29 and will be held at Blessings Golf Club in Fayetteville, Ark.
