WILLIAMSBURG, Va. -- The Ohio men's golf team is in sixth place with a total team score of 300 (+16) after one round of the Golden Horseshoe Intercollegiate, which was held today at Golden Horseshoe Gold Course.
The Bobcats trail first-place Campbell (294; +10) by six strokes.
Sophomore Zach Crawford (Vandalia, Ohio) paced Ohio's first-round effort, firing a 73 (+2) to put him in a tie for 11th.
Crawford was joined in the top-20 by sophomore Zach Mandry (Solon, Ohio), who is tied for 20th with a 74 (+3).
Senior Ben Sattler (Liberty Township, Ohio) shot a 76 (+5), putting him in a tie for 32nd.
Sophomore Tanner Johnson (Venetia, Pa.) is tied for 44th with a 77 (+6).
Sophomore Austin Dyson (Dublin, Ohio) shot an 85 (+14) and is tied for 100th.
Drake senior Tommi Avant and William & Mary freshman Matthew Feinstein are tied for overall lead with matching first-round scores of 68 (-3).
The second round of the Golden Horseshoe Intercollegiate is set for Monday (March 25), with tee times scheduled for 8:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. ET.
