BRIDGEPORT, W. Va. -- The Ohio men's golf team tied for 12th place with Marshall with a combined team score of 926 (+62) at the 2018 Health Plan Mountaineer Invitational at Pete Dye Golf Club.

The Bobcats combined to tally a 313 (+25) in the first round on Monday (Oct. 8). Second-round play was suspended due to darkness and resumed on Tuesday (Oct. 9), with the third and final round following the conclusion of the second round. Ohio combined to card a 309 (+21) in the second round, then shot a tournament-best 304 (+16) in the third round.

Tournament host West Virginia won the 2018 Health Plan Mountaineer Invitational by 11 strokes with a combined team score of 866 (+2) following round scores of 289 (+1), 296 (+8) and 281 (-7). West Virginia senior Max Sear earned medalist honors after carding rounds of 69 (-3), 72 (E) and 69 (-3) to finish with a 210 (-6).

Senior Ben Sattler (Liberty Township, Ohio) tied for eighth place a 220 (+4) to lead the way for Ohio. He followed up a first-round 76 (+4) with two rounds of 72 (E) on Tuesday.

Sophomore Zach Crawford (Vandalia, Ohio) shot a 231 (+15) to tie for 39th. He recorded rounds of 80 (+8), 76 (+4) and 75 (+3).

Sophomore Tanner Johnson (Venetia, Pa.) finished in a tie for 58th with a 237 (+21). He posted round scores of 79 (+7), 81 (+9) and 77 (+5).

Sophomore Zach Mandry (Solon, Ohio) totaled a 242 (+26) to tie for 66th. He followed up a first-round 82 (+10) with two rounds of 80 (+8).

Sophomore Austin Dyson (Dublin, Ohio) finished in a tie for 74th with a 247 (+31), totaling round scores of 78 (+6), 84 (+12) and 85 (+13).

Ohio wraps up the fall portion of its 2018-19 schedule next week (Oct. 15-16) at the Phoenix Intercollegiate, which will be held at Alamance Country Club in Burlington, N.C.
