CARY, N.C. -- The Ohio men's golf team is tied for ninth place with Virginia Tech following round one of the Stitch Intercollegiate, which took place Friday (April 13) at MacGregor Downs Country Club. The Bobcats and Hokies both carded round scores of 299 (+11) on the opening day of action of the tournament.

Tournament host North Carolina State and Wake Forest are tied for first after the first round of play, with both squads shooting 282 (-6).

Freshman Zach Crawford (Vandalia, Ohio) is in a 12-way tie for ninth place after firing an opening-round 71 (-1). He totaled six birdies and shot -1 on the par 4s.

Redshirt senior Tom Nettles (McMurray, Pa.) and freshman Tanner Johnson (Venetia, Pa.) both posted rounds of 73 (+1), putting them in a nine-way tie for 28th place.

Freshman Zach Mandry (Solon, Ohio) is in a seven-way tie for 49th place after carding a 76 (+4).

Junior Ben Sattler (Liberty Township, Ohio) shot a 79 (+7), putting him in a three-way tie for 62nd place.

Senior Brady Bohl (Dublin, Ohio) is tied for 67th place with an 82 (+10).

Duke freshman Adrien Pendaries, College of Charleston sophomore Logan Sowell and UAB redshirt sophomore William Walker III are tied for first place after shooting rounds of 68 (-4).

The second round of the Stitch Intercollegiate will be held on Saturday (April 14).
