DETROIT, Mich. – Fourteenth-year head coach Frank Solich, redshirt senior running back A.J. Ouellette and junior quarterback Nathan Rourke will represent Ohio football at the 2018 Mid-American Conference Football Media Day, Tuesday, July 24 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. EST inside Ford Field. Members of the local and national media will be on hand to preview the beginning of the 2018 season, which will officially begin for the Bobcats on Saturday, Sept. 1.
The Bobcats will arrive in Detroit on Monday, July 23 where the student-athletes will participate in a youth clinic, set to begin at 4 p.m. at Ford Field, followed by the MAC Student-Athlete Dinner.
Ohio will begin their day on Tuesday at 9 a.m. with breakout sessions with the MAC, NCAA, National Football Foundation and the College Football Playoff.
The day will continue at 11 a.m. with MAC Commissioner Jon Steinbrecher's opening remarks. Also in attendance will be College Football Playoff Executive Director Bill Hancock, CFA National Coordinator of Officials Rogers Redding, Football Bowl Association Executive Director Wright Waters and MAC Hall of Famer, Eastern Michigan alum, Detroit Lions alum Charlie Batch.
Live coverage of the event will begin on ESPN3 starting at noon, with Solich and Rourke live on set with Michael Reghi and Dustin Fox at 1:35 p.m.
The day's events will also include the announcement of the 2018 MAC Football Media Preseason Poll at 10 a.m.
