ATHENS, Ohio -- Rainy weather conditions in Athens have forced the Ohio baseball team (12-11, 1-2 MAC) to postpone its 2018 home opener, which was scheduled to be played Friday (March 30) at 6 p.m. ET at Bob Wren Stadium.
The Bobcats will now take on Mid-American Conference foe Northern Illinois (7-16, 1-2 MAC) in a Saturday (March 31) doubleheader beginning at 2 p.m. ET at The Wren. The Sunday (April 1) series finale of the three-game set is scheduled for a 1 p.m. ET. 'Voice of the Bobcats' Russ Eisenstein and Max McDulin will have the call of the action on WOUB 1340 AM and online on OhioBobcats.com via Stretch Internet. The contests will also be streamed live by OhioBobcatTV via YouTube.
The Bobcats will be playing on their home field for the first time in 2018 after playing the first 23 contests of the year away from Athens.
