Week's Achievements: Redshirt sophomore forward Jason Carter (Johnstown, Ohio) led the Ohio men's basketball team (9-6, 1-2 MAC) last week, averaging 17.5 points per game while shooting 44.8 percent (13-of-29) from the field, 70.0 percent (7-of-10) from three-point range and 50.0 percent (2-of-4) from the free throw line. He also averaged a team-high 7.5 rebounds, dished out three assists, tallied one block and recorded one steal. Carter scored a game-high 22 points, going 8-of-17 from the field, while hitting a career-high five three-pointers in Ohio's 82-63 loss to Bowling Green last Tuesday (Jan. 8) at the Stroh Center. He also grabbed six boards, dished out an assist and had one steal. Carter then scored 13 points in Ohio's 70-52 victory over Ball State last Saturday (Jan. 12) at Worthen Arena, going 5-of-12 from the field, 2-of-3 from beyond the arc and 1-of-2 from the free throw line as the Bobcats picked up their first Mid-American Conference win of the 2019 season. He also tied for the team lead with nine rebounds, dished out two assists and had one block.
